Mask Requirements

Starting April 1, 2023 masks will be optional. Our office will be following Covid-19 Community Level Recommendations regarding wearing masks in the dental office setting. We will use the online Covid-19 Community Level Tool to assess the Somerset County Risk Level. This tool is updated on a weekly basis and assesses risk levels as:

• Low - no mask required
• Medium - masking for immunocompromised people or those living with people at high risk for severe illness
• High - masking required regardless of vaccination status

Regardless of any recommendations we make, you are welcome to wear a mask at anytime with regards to your personal comfort level. During our care for you, we will wear masks as we always have in the past and will continue to do in the future.

We are looking forward to May when the federal Public Health Emergency (PHE) for COVID-19, declared under Section 319 of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act, will expire at the end of the day on May 11, 2023. Until then, we believe our mask requirements modification will provide a smooth transition to that future event.
